Guest Reviews & Ratings
My stay at this B&B was simply wonderful. The room was stunning, the bed was so comfortable, and the homemade oatmeal cookies and nightcaps were such a warm touch. This might just be my favorite B&B room in the country. The covered patio was very convenient for us, and the room had everything we needed, from a hair dryer to a mini refrigerator to an ironing board.
Staying at this hotel was a mixed experience for me. The rooms, located on the second floor, front right corner of the house, are uniquely decorated but did not quite match the internet description. However, the nice entrance to a veranda added a nice touch. The service was exceptional, with friendly, charming, and helpful staff providing deluxe southern warm hospitality. The location was a draw, close to great places to explore and eat, albeit in an area with some rundown homes. The dining experience was delightful, with gourmet dishes prepared fresh and some creative breakfast options. Overall, the hotel offers a charming stay despite some discrepancies in room descriptions.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were comfortable with a king size bed and a semi-private balcony, but there were many electric cords going every which way, which was a bit off-putting. The service in San Antonio was amazing, living up to its reputation, offering grocery shopping service and tours/ticket assistance. The location was a secluded getaway that felt like a journey into the past, which might not appeal to everyone, yet it was within walking distance of historic sites and great restaurants. The dining experience in the Oge House dining room was pleasant, with breakfast served every morning, although it was in another building around the corner. The facilities were decent, providing a satisfactory stay overall.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The room I stayed in, Jackson House, was beautifully appointed, very spacious, and had easy access to the balcony overlooking the front lawn, which was a great feature. The king size four-poster bed added a touch of luxury. The cleanliness of the room was top-notch but the price may be a bit on the high side. The service was exceptional, with the staff being very friendly and helpful, providing recommendations on places to visit and restaurants. However, the Oge House might not be the best choice to stay. The location in the historic neighborhood was interesting, providing a secluded getaway feel, but it did not resonate positively with me. The dining experience was mixed, with a varied menu including creative dishes served on crystal and china, but the self-service aspect of some items like the sad eggs and juice was a letdown. The facilities were well-maintained and rated highly. Overall, a stay at this hotel has its highlights and some room for improvement in certain aspects.
I absolutely enjoyed my stay at the hotel! The location was perfect, with beautiful gardens and a relaxed atmosphere. The rooms were elegantly decorated, not overly fancy, making it comfortable for everyone. The service was friendly and informative, although the breakfast experience could be improved. The dining options were unique and tasty. Overall, a great value for a memorable stay.
